Job summary

Pressure Dynamics in Cairns is seeking an experienced Onsite Supervisor to lead our Service team on hydraulic projects. You will manage onsite labour, supervise trades and apprentices, provide hands-on hydraulic support, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will balance hands-on technical work with workforce planning, customer engagement, and adherence to safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with 5+ years’ trade or supervisory experience.
• Leadership experience managing a team in the engineering/hydraulics industries.
• Strong hydraulics, pneumatics, and general engineering knowledge.
• Experience in a hydraulics workshop servicing mining, maritime, or related industries.
• Sound understanding of OH&S, Environmental, and EEO legislation.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite labour and equipment to achieve optimal utilisation and efficiency.
• Supervise and monitor work progress to ensure quality outcomes and timely completion.
• Provide technical hydraulic support, including installation, removal, and live testing of equipment.
• Scope, plan, and allocate resources for site jobs in collaboration with the Service Manager and workshop team.
• Oversee and complete customer preventative maintenance documentation and service reports.
• Contribute to quotes, bids, and tenders through accurate scoping support.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call roster, directing calls and supporting urgent jobs.
• Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service delivery.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The Role
