Newmont Tanami is seeking a Superintendent, Project Controls to lead the site Project Controls team in a remote FIFO operation in the Northern Territory. You will drive cost control, planning, forecasting and governance across sustaining capital projects, partnering with engineers, operations and safety to deliver on-site outcomes.

Tanami is one of Australia's most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. As a fully fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) operation, Tanami flies around 1,800 employees and contractors to site via its own airstrip, with teams working on a rotational camp roster. The mine was originally an open-pit operation but has evolved into a world-class underground asset with extensive modern infrastructure. A major expansion (Tanami Expansion 2) is underway - including a 1.5-kilometre-deep hoisting shaft - to extend Tanami's life beyond 2040 and increase production efficiency. The remote location fosters a close-knit team spirit, where safety and mutual respect are paramount. Tanami’s workforce is proud to work in partnership with the local Warlpiri people on whose land we operate, ensuring that our presence contributes positively to communities. Reporting to the Manager, Sustaining Capital, the Superintendent, Project Controls plays a critical leadership role in enabling the successful planning, execution, governance, and delivery of the site's Sustaining Capital portfolio.
