Job summary

Newmont is seeking a Supervisor, Projects at its Boddington operation in Western Australia. You will lead a team of Project Engineers delivering sustaining capital studies and engineering activities, working with Operations, Processing, Technical Services and Asset Management to develop integrated project solutions.

The role focuses on ensuring safety, timely delivery, and readiness for construction and handover, while driving continuous improvement and strong governance across the portfolio

Your impact

As a Supervisor, Projects, you'll lead the studies and engineering function within the Sustaining Capital Projects team at Boddington. Working closely with Operations, Technical Services and Asset Management stakeholders, you'll lead a team of Project Engineers and ensure projects progress safely and effectively from concept and feasibility through to construction readiness and operational handover.

  • Lead and support a team of Project Engineers delivering sustaining capital project studies, scopes and engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Processing, Technical Services and Asset Management teams to develop integrated project solutions.
  • Monitor project schedules, resources, risks and performance to support successful project delivery.
  • Ensure projects achieve execution and operational readiness requirements prior to construction and handover.
  • Drive continuous improvement, governance and safe work practices across the Sustaining Capital Projects portfolio.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within engineering, studies, sustaining capital projects or project delivery teams in mining, resources or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of project studies, scoping, feasibility, execution planning and project delivery frameworks.
  • Proven leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring and supporting technical professionals.
  • Experience managing project risks, schedules, resources and stakeholder relationships in a complex operational environment.
  • Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Your Work Environment

This permanent position is offered on a 5:2, 4:3 drive-in, drive-out roster from Perth. Village accommodation is provided while on site.

Reporting to the Superintendent Sustaining Capital Projects, you will lead a team of Project Engineers and work closely with Operations, Processing, Technical Services and Asset Management stakeholders to deliver a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across Newmont's Boddington operation.

This role provides the opportunity to influence project strategy, project readiness and engineering outcomes while supporting the development of a high-performing technical team.
