Job summary

Randstad is seeking a hands-on Safety Coordinator to join a major commercial new-build project on the Sunshine Coast. You will drive auditing, documentation, and systems compliance to uphold rigorous safety standards across trades, coordinate internal WHS audits, review SWMS and permits, and maintain accurate statutory registers in line with FSC and ISO 45001 requirements.

Based on site with ongoing, multi-year exposure, you will be supported by a Site-Based Safety Advisor and Group Safety

Qualifications

• Auditing experience across site operations and documentation management.
• 2–5+ years WHS coordination on commercial builds or large developments.
• Knowledge of QLD WHS Act 2011; FSC audit frameworks and ISO 45001 is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal WHS audits, inspections, track non-conformances, and drive corrective actions.
• Review SWMS, lift studies, permits to work for technical adequacy before use.
• Maintain the site WHS Management Plan and statutory registers to ISO 45001 standards.
• Collate safety data, compile monthly WHS compliance reports, and prepare audit-ready docs.
• Assist incident triage, gather evidence, and support regulatory record-keeping.
