Job summary

Randstad's client, a national builder, is seeking an experienced WHS/Safety Officer to join the Rockhampton team on a major build project. You will conduct routine audits and safety inspections, prepare reports, and maintain health and safety records in line with the Project Safety Management Plan.

The role requires Cert IV WHS, current First Aid/ CPR and 2–5 years' construction experience. Randstad actively promotes equal opportunity employment and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications - Cert IV WHS (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• 2-5 years construction/build industry experience.
• Project delivery through HSE delivery & administration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine audits and safety inspections of site activities.
• Prepare and maintain reports per the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Keep health and safety records accessible for the project duration.
• Maintain HSE documentation, including registers, inductions and safety plans.
• Assist in preparing monthly Project Review Reports.
• Model best practice in safety.

Job description

As a result of their continued success our client a national builder are on the hunt for an experienced WHS/Safety Officer to join their Rockhampton team having wining a considerable large Build Project based in Rockhampton.

The Position:

• Conduct routine audits, safety inspections, monitoring and analysis of the site and work activities
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation as outlined in the Project Safety Management Plan
• Maintain project health and safety records in an easily accessible manner for the duration of the project and as outlined in the Project Safety Management Plan
• Maintain HSE documentation throughout the project, including (but not limited to) all Registers, Inductions, Plant Registrations, Safety Plan and Safe Work Method Statement reviews, and administer these project documents and records to a high level of consistency and quality
• Assist the HSE Systems Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in preparing monthly Project Review Reports
• Act as a role model for "Best Practice"

Experience Required:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications - Cert IV WHS (or equivalent, as a minimum);
