Job summary

Just Better Care is a leading in-home aged care and disability support provider servicing the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We are recruiting Support Workers to join our local team, offering casual opportunities with flexible hours and the chance to make a real difference in your community.

In this role you will provide personal care, domestic support, social transport, and assistance with mobility aids, while adhering to safety standards and participating in mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, or Home & Community Care (preferred).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (if applicable).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Federal Police Check, Yellow Card, and Blue Card.
• Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smartphone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance.
• Assisting with domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offering social support and transport for appointments, shopping, and community outings.
• Helping customers safely use mobility aids and equipment (hoists, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Supporting clients with complex or challenging care needs.
• Monitoring customer well‑being and reporting changes or concerns.
• Attending staff meetings and required training sessions.
