Job summary

Hall Chadwick QLD is seeking motivated accounting students for a 2027 Summer Internship at our Brisbane City office. The internship will run for two weeks in February 2027 and is paid.

You'll gain hands-on exposure to the world of accounting, working on real client files, GST/PAYG reporting, and income tax preparation across various entity types. You'll experience a day in the life of a graduate accountant, learn about our Queensland-focused client base, and engage in social and community events

Are you ready to take your first step into the world of accounting? Hall Chadwick QLD is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students for our 2027 Summer Internship! The program will take place at our Brisbane City office.

As a summer intern, you’ll have an opportunity to:

• Experience a "day in the life" of a graduate accountant
• Gain insight into a Queensland-focused firm with clients across a wide range of industries
• Immerse yourself in our culture and participate in social and community events

Accounting exposure may include:

• Working on real client files
• GST and PAYG withholding tax reporting obligations
• Preparation of income tax returns for various entity types
• Management reporting
• Using various accounting software programs
• Researching and reviewing legislation
• Assisting with SMSF audits

You’ll need to be:

• A 2nd or 3rd year student in 2027, studying towards an accounting degree
• Curious and interested to learn
• Open-minded and energetic
• Willing to roll up your sleeves and do some "real work"!

Interns must be available to work full-time hours between Monday 1st February to Friday 12th February 2027 inclusive. You will be paid for the two-week internship.

Successful interns may have the chance to join us in a part-time capacity during the semester and be strong candidates for future graduate positions.
