Job summary

Western Power is seeking an Engineering Team Leader for Design Delivery in Perth CBD on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a multidisciplinary design team, guiding primary, secondary and civil/structural disciplines to deliver safe, compliant substation designs and innovative engineering solutions that underpin the network.

You'll drive design excellence, governance and continuous improvement while engaging stakeholders across the business to achieve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, eligible for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
• In-depth knowledge of substation design policies, standards and regulations.
• Good knowledge of design management and project management.
• Experience in front-line management, work management, design coordination and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scoping, scheduling, coordination and delivery of design programs and projects.
• Oversee design outputs by external partners ensuring safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
• Provide technical direction across primary, secondary, civil/structural and customer connection disciplines.
• Lead outsourced design services and engineering delivery partners.
• Monitor consultant performance, workload, quality and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, delivery partners and project teams to achieve outcomes.
