Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist based in Fortitude Valley QLD or Symonston ACT with flexible hybrid working arrangements. You will lead sourcing, subcontract activities from strategy to award and ongoing management, collaborating with programs, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver value and manage risk.

You will bring strong negotiation skills, commercial judgement, and a commitment to integrity while supporting Defence-related initiatives and supplier

Qualifications

• Experience in subcontract management, procurement, contracts, or a similar commercial role.
• Strong commercial acumen, including contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex commercial challenges.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing contract performance.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Defence, Aerospace, ASDEFCON, or export control experience (highly regarded).
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.

About the Opportunity

Based in Fortitude Valley QLD or Symonston ACT with flexible hybrid working arrangements, as a Subcontracts Specialist you will lead sourcing and subcontract activities from strategy through to contract award and ongoing management. Working closely with program teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, you'll ensure commercial solutions deliver value, manage risk, and support successful program outcomes.
