Job summary

Liverpool Women’s Hospital is seeking a Sub-Specialty Appointment Co-Ordinator within the Family Health Division. The role is based at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and covers a six-month sickness-absence fixed-term period.

The successful candidate will manage consultant clinic diaries, handle a range of outpatient bookings (face-to-face, telephone and virtual) and produce patient correspondence while ensuring RTT pathways are started or continued as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with patients and staff
• Ability to identify capacity/demand issues within sub-specialty
• Experience with clinic scheduling and PAS/RTT processes

Responsibilities

• Manage consultant’s clinic diaries and outpatient bookings (face to face, telephone, and virtual) as directed by clinicians
• Produce letters informing patients of appointment times and media type
• Support colleagues and Booking Clerks with complex bookings and PALs enquiries
• Register new tertiary referrals onto PAS within 48 hours to initiate/continue RTT pathways
• Analyse patient tracking lists (PTL) to ensure proper scheduling and data quality
• Organise interpreters for appointments and maintain booking records
• Maintain and update follow-up queues; prioritise urgent cases and meet government targets
• Adapt to changes in trust policy and operating systems and deputise when required
