Job summary

Masterpiece Builders is seeking a skilled Qualified Carpenter as a Sub-Contractor for a new home build in Sunbury. You will perform a range of carpentry and construction tasks, ensuring work meets plans, specifications and building standards.

You will read drawings, measure and install timber, doors and finishing items while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency. A valid Australian trade qualification and experience in residential construction are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter with Australian trade qualification.
• Residential construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry and building works across the residential construction project.
• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
• Complete framing, fix-out, cladding, decking, roofing and other carpentry work as required.
• Measure, cut and install timber and other building materials accurately.
• Install doors, windows, skirting, architraves and other finishing items.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and project standards.
• Work with builders, supervisor, other sub-contractors and trades.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Use and maintain hand tools, power tools and equipment appropriately.
• Identify and report issues or variations to the site supervisor.
• Follow health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Assist with general site duties as required.
• Ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes.
