Job summary

Nineinsix Builders in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is seeking a qualified carpenter with renovation experience to join our hands-on, quality-focused team. You’ll perform carpentry across all renovation stages, follow drawings, set out sites, and collaborate with apprentices, subcontractors and other trades to deliver high-end builds.

• 2-3+ years experience as a qualified carpenter (high end residential experience a bonus)
• Follow safety guidelines
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend technical documents and drawings
• Strong understanding of English, good communication skills and a demonstrated ability with numbers
• A driven and energetic work ethic who works well autonomously
• A desire to learn yourself and with those around you

Responsibilities

• Performing all aspects of carpentry and building
• Following construction drawings and plans to meet the needs of the build
• Setting out and site establishment as per plans and site requirements
• Working with a team of qualified & apprentice carpenters, subcontractors and other labourers
• Inspecting, recording and replacing defective aspects of the build
• Working in a safe manner and compliant with OH&S rules
• Duties as required to support the overall build process

Nineinsix Builders are the Principal Builder behind a high-profile custom build project in Melbourne’s northern suburbs area. The Founders come from a hands-on high quality carpentry background with over 40 years in the industry.

At Nineinsix we pride ourselves in being builders and as a result work with Carpenters across all aspects of completed projects and contribute to tasks beyond the standard carpentry role.

What you'll be doing:
