Job summary

Guardian Australia is seeking a multimedia support specialist to oversee day-to-day admin, troubleshooting and training for hardware and software used to produce video and audio. You will support a distributed team across Australia and collaborate with IT in Sydney and London, manage a Mac fleet with Jamf Pro, and develop a knowledgebase.

The role requires a calm, service-minded approach and experience in fast-paced editorial environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with professional audio and/or video studios in broadcast, podcast, or digital media.
• Strong knowledge of audio recording and mixing, video production, and studio lighting.
• Experience supporting multiple studios or high-volume production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Become the subject matter expert for multimedia apps including Adobe Creative Cloud, REAPER, Iconik and LucidLink.
• Provide 1st-line support via email, calls, chat and remote access for a distributed team.
• Log incidents in a ticketing system and escalate when needed to maintain service quality.
• Manage a sub-fleet of Apple Macs for Multimedia staff and coordinate with IT teams in Sydney and London.
• Develop and maintain an internal knowledgebase for multimedia systems and processes.
• Support AV setups and tech for internal events and ensure studios are production-ready.
• Assist with networked cameras, recording systems and lighting rigs across three locations.
• Deliver hands-on diagnostics for audio/video/live sessions and train staff on safe usage.
