Job summary

Compass Group Australia | National Design Studio is seeking a Design Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our studio, supporting graphic and interior design projects across the business.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will manage intake, prioritisation and scheduling, balance priorities with capacity, and translate requirements into briefs while coordinating delivery and ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience in studio operations, traffic management or project coordination.
Strong understanding of design, branding and production processes.
Practical graphic design skills with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
Experience using Microsoft 365 and project management systems.
Strong planning and reporting capabilities.
Organised, able to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Managing studio workflow, resource allocation and project scheduling.
Coordinating projects from briefing through to final delivery.
Partnering with stakeholders to align priorities, timelines and expectations.
Monitoring studio capacity, risks and delivery performance.
Coordinating freelancers, suppliers and external partners when required.
Driving improvements to studio processes, systems and reporting.
Providing hands-on graphic design support during peak periods and leave coverage.
