Job summary

King's College Warrnambool in South West Victoria seeks a compassionate School Chaplain / Wellbeing Officer to join our pastoral care team and support students’ social, emotional, spiritual and personal development.

You will build meaningful relationships with students, families and staff while contributing to a caring, Christ-centred environment from ELC to Year 12. Hope, belonging and resilience will be developed through targeted programs.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in chaplaincy and pastoral care, counselling, youth work, community services, psychology or wellbeing.
• Experience in school, youth, pastoral care or community settings is highly regarded.
• Active involvement in a Bible-based evangelical church and ability to support the College ethos.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care, mentoring and wellbeing support to students.
• Build trusting relationships with students, families and staff.
• Develop and facilitate wellbeing, resilience and personal development programs.
• Support Christian programs, prayer and devotions for students to grow in faith.
• Collaborate with teachers, learning support, chaplaincy and College leadership.
