Job summary

Lynwood Senior High School’s Intensive English Centre (IEC) seeks a compassionate Student Support Worker to assist newly arrived CALD students in Years 7–10. You will coordinate support programs, help with risk assessment, and contribute to plans that enable access to learning and improve wellbeing and attendance.

You will work collaboratively with families, staff and community services, supporting students in settling into mainstream schooling and building a sense of belonging within the school

Qualifications

• Eligibility: Australian or NZ citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with work rights for term duration.
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) required before start.
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Screening Clearance Number required before start.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support programs for CALD students in IEC.
• Collaborate with student case management team to identify risks and plan interventions.
• Deliver individualised support strategies to address wellbeing, attendance and transition needs, including trauma-informed approaches.
