Job summary

Wangaratta District Specialist School is seeking an Education Support class employee to assist teachers and coordinate support tasks under supervision. The role focuses on student routines, wellbeing, and program coordination at its Wangaratta campus.

The position emphasises collaboration with families, external professionals, and the school community, with a focus on inclusive education and transition planning for students aged five to eighteen.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
• Assists teachers with the coordination of educational programs and rostering.
