South Coast Baptist College is seeking a compassionate Secondary Education Assistant to join our Christian secondary school community commencing in 2027. This full-time role supports students across Years 7–12, working with teachers and Learning Support staff to create inclusive learning environments where every student can flourish.

You will assist with individual learning plans, engage students in learning, and help develop independence and confidence while upholding the College's faith-based

Formación

• Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent qualification.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Active participation in a church or Christian community, demonstrating Christian beliefs, values and practices.
• Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in accordance with the College's values and policies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support to students in classroom, small group and individual learning environments.
• Assist teachers with the preparation of learning resources and lesson materials.
• Support students with diverse learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Encourage student engagement, independence and active participation in learning.
• Assist with the implementation of Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs) and individual learning strategies.
• Support students in developing emotional regulation, social skills and life skills.
• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behaviour support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, Learning Support staff and relevant allied health professionals.
• Communicate observations and provide feedback regarding student progress, wellbeing and engagement.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, school events and excursions.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
