Job summary

The Queensland Government is seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer (AO4) for Corymbia Reserve State High School in Beaudesert. You will work with students, families and the broader community to boost educational engagement, attendance and wellbeing, including home visits and coordinating interventions.

You will build trusting relationships, remove barriers to learning, and contribute to a supportive school culture. This is a foundation role shaping a new school community from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse learners and inclusive education practices is highly regarded.
• Ability to build genuine relationships with students, families and community partners.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain positive relationships with students, families and community stakeholders.
• Support attendance, engagement and wellbeing through proactive intervention.
• Collaborate with staff to address educational, social or behavioural barriers to learning.
• Monitor wellbeing and assist in implementing appropriate supports and interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to data-informed decisions.
