Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organised and student-focused Student Support and Administration Officer to join our Sydney campus, conveniently located next to Central Station.
As the first point of contact for students, lecturers and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional and supportive campus experience. This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines frontline student support with academic and administrative responsibilities across the student lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to student service, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while supporting student success in a dynamic higher education environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for students, lecturers and visitors, providing professional, accurate and timely assistance in person, by telephone and via email.
Manage enquiries, service requests and support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and escalated appropriately when required.
Liaise with students, academic staff and offshore support teams to ensure enquiries and requests are actioned within required timeframes.
Support a range of student administration activities, including enrolments, registrations, orientations, timetable and tutorial group management, LMS access, leave and deferment requests, special consideration applications, transcripts and graduation documentation.
Maintain accurate student records, files and documentation in accordance with organisational, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Assist students and staff with system access and account-related enquiries, liaising with IT support teams as required.
Manage reception and office resources, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained to support campus operations.
Participate in First Aid and Fire Warden responsibilities where required.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
At least one year of experience in a higher education or student administration environment.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act)and National Code of Practice
Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting students in a professional, responsive and student-centred manner.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and contribute positively to team outcomes.
Experience using student management systems and learning management systems, with experience using Meshed highly regarded.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to maintain professionalism, accuracy and service standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn and effectively use student management and learning management systems.
Willingness to undertake First Aid and Fire Warden training.
