Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Student Recruitment Assistant to represent the University at school visits, careers expos, information sessions and on-campus recruitment events across Sydney, regional NSW, interstate locations and New Zealand. You will deliver engaging presentations to prospective students and families and coordinate travel and events with a focus on outreach.

The role requires confident public speaking, strong stakeholder engagement, and willingness to travel regularly.

Qualifications

• Confident, engaging presenter capable of addressing diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across metropolitan, regional, interstate locations and New Zealand.
• Must hold NSW Driver Licence and WWCC or be able to obtain one before start date.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia for duration of employment; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University at school visits, careers expos, information sessions and on-campus recruitment events.
• Deliver engaging presentations and facilitate discussions with prospective students, parents, teachers and careers advisers.
• Coordinate travel, event logistics and stakeholder engagement activities across multiple locations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, Careers Advisers and internal University stakeholders.
• Support outreach programs and empower student ambassadors through coaching and guidance.
