Job summary

University of Wollongong is seeking a Student Placement Officer to provide administrative and coordination support for workplace learning experiences across health disciplines at the Wollongong Campus. You will work with students, academic staff and external providers to ensure placements are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with strong customer service.

The role offers a 0.6 FTE ongoing Part-Time and a Full-Time Fixed-Term position to Jan 2028, with a 35-hour week, 17% superannuation, and

Qualifications

• A university degree in administration or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
• Experience providing administrative support in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer student placement activities across multiple disciplines.
• Liaise with students, academic staff and external placement providers regarding placement requirements and enquiries.
• Manage placement allocations, documentation and record keeping.
• Support compliance and verification processes associated with student placements.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and the student experience.
• Maintain positive relationships with placement partners and stakeholders.
