Job summary

AKG Australia in Glen Waverley is seeking a Pre-Training and Assessment Officer to support diverse students on their learning journey. You will manage Pre-training Assessments, assess skill levels under the ACSF, and determine the best pathway for each student within the SEE program.

Key duties include conducting initial client interviews, ensuring compliance with ASQA and SEE requirements, maintaining accurate learner records, and adapting delivery to student-centred approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse and disadvantaged learners.
• Strong planning, organisation and administration skills with attention to detail.
• Confident communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Computer skills – Word, Excel, Access, Internet and Email.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document initial client interviews and pre-training assessments per Strategy and Program requirements.
• Ensure assessments and records meet ASQA and SEE contractual requirements.
• Record and maintain accurate client information in learner portfolios and data systems.
• Demonstrate flexibility across levels, student cohorts and delivery focus to maintain a student-centred approach.
