Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Learning Support Officer to assist students with diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments under a teacher's direction. The role covers student welfare, health and wellbeing activities and may include pre-school, vision, hearing, and bilingual support streams.

You will join a team, complete mandatory training including a Working with Children Check, and engage in additional health and first aid training as required to support

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance required.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training.
• Administration of Medications training provided.
• Health support training provided as needed.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support students with diverse learning needs in classrooms and learning environments under the direction of a teacher.
• Contribute to student welfare, health and wellbeing activities.
