NSW Department of Education is recruiting for School Learning Support Officers to assist students with diverse learning needs across classrooms and learning environments. This role operates under the direction of a teacher to help achieve educational outcomes and may include welfare, health and wellbeing duties.

Responsibilities include supporting pre-school, vision, hearing and bilingual streams, with training provided where required.

Formación

• Working with Children Check Clearance
• Mandatory training and willingness to undertake first aid training
• Administration of medications – training provided
• Health support training provided as needed
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work with students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
• Awareness of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
• Effective communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Provide support for students with identified diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under teacher supervision.
• Support student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Provide specific support for students in streams/settings: pre-school, vision, hearing and bilingual as designated.
