Job summary

Bray Park State High School, located in the Moreton Bay region, seeks a dedicated School Support Officer to support student engagement, behaviour and wellbeing for Years 7–12. You will build positive relationships, monitor uniforms and attendance, supervise detentions, and support student programs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach with young people. A Blue Card is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in programs designed with Heads of Year and under teacher direction.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through observation and contribute to improved student outcomes.
• Refer students to school support services and other staff when required.
• Maintain high standards of work, follow procedures, assist with bus duty and escort students to class.
• Build positive relationships with students and participate in professional development.
