Job summary

The BUSY School, Strathpine campus, seeks an Engagement Officer to proactively support students, families and community partners. You will promote participation, monitor attendance, support pathway activities and maintain strong engagement with education programs to help students stay connected.

You will work closely with campus staff, employers and training providers to arrange work experiences, track progress and ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, youth support, education, employment services or a related field.
• A genuine passion for helping young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal relationships and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance and engagement of students.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and carers.
• Liaise with employers, training organisations and external support services.
• Maintain accurate student records and case notes.
• Support student enrolment, retention and transition activities.
• Provide administrative support across the campus as required.
• Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive school culture aligned with child safety principles.
