Job summary

Penola Catholic College in Melbourne is seeking a Careers Practitioner to join a supportive, collaborative environment. The role involves engaging students in exploring pathways beyond school, guiding families and staff, and collaborating with external partners to broaden post-school opportunities.

The successful candidate will work with Year 12 students following VCE results, help them identify strengths and pathways, and contribute to a positive career development culture within the college.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of career development theories.
• Experience engaging students in exploration of pathways beyond school.
• Ability to develop and promote effective career plans aligned with student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in explorations and dialogue about pathways beyond school.
• Provide guidance, education and support to students, families and staff.
• Collaborate with Head of Careers, employers, training providers and educational institutions to explore post-school opportunities.
• Support Year 12 students after VCE results in tertiary pathway placements.
