Job summary

Lightsource bp in Sydney seeks an Associate for the Structured Finance and M&A team to structure, model, and execute project finance for solar, storage, and onshore wind projects, collaborating with development, engineering and commercial teams.

2–3 years in energy finance, strong modelling in Excel, and M&A familiarity are required to contribute to scalable growth and bankable deal terms.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant experience with lenders, investors or advisers in infrastructure/energy finance
• Strong understanding of project finance principles and models
• Interest in renewables and storage
• Advanced corporate finance knowledge and M&A processes
• Knowledge of financial products and risk management

Responsibilities

• Support the transaction lead from origination to Financial Close
• Build and amend project financial models
• Maintain regional financial models for development teams
• Prepare internal/external presentations and information memoranda
• Support negotiations with financiers and investors
• Review financial and transaction documents (Facility Agreements, SPAs)
• Coordinate due diligence with advisers
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure bankable solutions for opportunities
