Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is recruiting a Structural Engineer for its Sydney team. This role focuses on design across steel and concrete buildings with hands-on involvement on site and close collaboration with senior engineers.

You will manage defined project scopes, coordinate with builders, fabricators and architects, and contribute to practical, economical designs that work on site. Progress toward CPEng or RPEQ is welcomed but not essential.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of structural engineering experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
• Proven ability to design and detail steel and concrete buildings.
• Experience with shop drawings, site coordination and construction-stage problem solving.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliverables, and contribute to design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures (footings, slabs, lateral systems).
• Prepare coordinated calculations and documentation with buildability focus.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and respond to construction queries.
• Conduct site inspections and provide practical engineering input during construction.
• Coordinate with builders, fabricators, architects and internal teams.
• Maintain QA standards and contribute to design-process improvements.
