Job summary

Airswift is seeking a senior Lead Structural Engineer to grow and expand the organisation’s structural engineering capability within the mining and minerals sector on the East Coast. The role combines technical leadership with project delivery and risk management across all phases.

Based in Brisbane or Adelaide, you will oversee design, analysis, and coordination with site teams and contractors, ensuring compliant, practical, and buildable solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software.
• Demonstrated experience delivering practical, constructible solutions under site and project constraints.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with contractors and site-based teams.
• Well-established professional relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders within Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans with site teams and contractors.
• Carry out detailed structural analysis and design for safety and constructability.
• Assess material performance across construction phases.
• Lead cross-disciplinary engineering solutions with designers and consultants.
• Review drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with tender preparation and secure project opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders to support delivery.
