Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Structural Engineer in Melbourne with 4–10 years of structural engineering experience to contribute to industrial, mining, energy and infrastructure projects across Australia. You will work with senior engineers to deliver designs from concept to detailed design, applying SpaceGass, Strand7, and StaadPro as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4–10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with structural design for steel, concrete, and industrial projects.
• Desirable exposure to mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural designs from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Undertake structural analysis and design of steel buildings, conveyors, and foundations.
• Develop structural models using SpaceGass, Strand7, or StaadPro.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specifications and scopes of work.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical and process engineers for integrated solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and client specifications.
