Hatch in Brisbane seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership across mining and industrial projects. You will lead brownfield and greenfield deliverables, engage with clients, and support project execution while developing engineering capability within the team.

You are a Chartered Structural Engineer with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, focusing on safety, quality and practical outcomes. Strong experience in steel, concrete and foundations is essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with significant mining, minerals, ports or industrial project experience.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in consulting, EPCM or owner’s team environments.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and project outcomes.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations and industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for structural engineering on mining and heavy industrial projects.
• Lead and review designs for steel, concrete, and foundations for process plants and bulk handling facilities.
• Develop design criteria, calculations, reports, and construction support documentation.
• Plan, coordinate and manage structural deliverables to meet scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety objectives.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, piping, electrical, instrumentation and project delivery teams.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability and risk assessments, and safety-in-design workshops.
• Build strong client relationships and provide trusted technical advice.
• Mentor engineers and designers and contribute to governance and digital engineering practices.
