Job summary

Cadigal Group in Sydney is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to contribute to design, analysis, and execution of structural projects across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

You will use ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System and AutoCAD to model, analyse, and optimise solutions, ensure code compliance with AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170, and lead project delivery while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification/licence.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in consulting or design firms.
• Proficiency in structural analysis/design software: ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structure, AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes/standards (AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 1170).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables on time and within budget.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. Key Responsibilities

• Utilise advanced engineering principles and software tools to design and analyse structural systems, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry components.
• Conduct detailed calculations, simulations and modelling to ensure structural integrity, stability and safety in compliance with relevant Australian standards and building codes.
• Perform site investigations and assessments to gather essential data for project planning and execution.
• Manage assigned projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and regulatory authorities to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, resolving engineering challenges and optimising design solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings, specifications and other technical documents outlining project requirements, design solutions and recommendations.
• Review project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
• Present findings, proposals and project updates to internal teams, clients and external stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
