Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer in Australia (Brisbane or Melbourne) to join the Bridges and Structures group. You will work on bridge and transport structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects.

The role involves analysis, design, and documentation for reinforced and prestressed concrete as well as steel structures, with a focus on delivering practical, innovative solutions while upholding HDR's safety and inclusion standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2-10 years' experience in structural engineering, ideally with a focus on bridges and transport structures.
• Experience working on transportation infrastructure projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as Midas Civil, SpaceGass, Strand7, SBD, and Excel.
• Interest in digital engineering and parametric modelling approaches.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• A motivated and proactive approach to learning and professional growth.
• A genuine commitment to contributing to HDR's employee-owned culture.

The Opportunity

Based in either Brisbane or Melbourne, you’ll work within a highly collaborative team, supporting the design and delivery of bridges and transport structures for major infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to build your technical capabilities while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
