BIM TECHNOLOGIES in Melbourne seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team, delivering design solutions across residential, apartment, industrial and commercial projects. You will work from concept through construction documentation, collaborating with architects, builders and clients to deliver buildable, code-compliant structures.

You will apply your expertise in reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry, use ETABS/Space Gass/RAPT, and ensure all designs meet Australian

• Tertiary qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Proven local experience in structural design for residential and/or commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry.
• Proficiency with ETABS, Space Gass or RAPT.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• CPEng/NER registration or progression toward it is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake structural design and analysis for apartment, industrial and commercial building projects
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Liaise with architects, builders, and other consultants throughout the design and construction phases
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
• Conduct site inspections as required during construction
• Support the preparation of fee proposals and project scopes
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Melbourne team, working across a range of apartment buildings, industrial and commercial structures. You'll be involved in the full design process — from concept through to construction documentation — working closely with architects, builders, and clients to deliver well-engineered, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake structural design and analysis for apartment, industrial and commercial building projects
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Liaise with architects, builders, and other consultants throughout the design and construction phases
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
• Conduct site inspections as required during construction
• Support the preparation of fee proposals and project scopes
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Proven and local experience in structural design for residential and/or commercial buildings (essential)
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g. ETABS, Space Gass, RAPT)
• Sound understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and project stakeholders
• CPEng/NER registration (or working towards) highly regarded
