Job summary

Cerca Talent is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join a Melbourne CBD team. You will work closely with senior engineers on a range of residential and multi-disciplinary projects, delivering accurate design work and coordinated drawings.

Proficiency in SpaceGass, RAPT, ETABS or Revit Structure and a solid understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements are essential. The role offers mentoring, collaboration, and opportunities to advance within the consultancy.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Post-graduate experience in structural design within an Australian consultancy.
• Experience on multiple building projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in analysis and design software SpaceGass, RAPT, ETABS or Revit Structure.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior engineers, drafters and project coordinators to deliver accurate, well-coordinated design work on time.
• Design structural solutions for residential projects, including single dwellings, townhouses and low-rise developments, with mentoring from senior engineers.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders from concept through to completion.
• Produce clear, accurate calculations, drawings and documentation aligned with standards and project needs.
• Participate in design reviews, identify issues, propose practical solutions and respond to technical queries.
• Grow professional capability through training, mentoring and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Use feedback to sharpen technical judgement and improve quality and efficiency.

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their vibrant Melbourne CBD team. About you

Experience planning and implementing engineering projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering services

Proficiency in analysis and design software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, ETABS or Revit Structure

Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels and across all disciplines

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to envision and deliver practical solutions
