Job summary

Aurecon seeks a BIM Modeller to join our Built Environment team in Australia. You will coordinate modelling for a range of structural building designs, delivering accurate models and drawings in Revit while exploring Dynamo, Rhino or Grasshopper to improve efficiency.

You will collaborate across disciplines, federate models to identify clashes early, and support virtual collaboration sessions. A proactive, quality-focused mindset and strong communication skills will help you work closely with

Qualifications

• Practical experience in digital or BIM modelling, ideally within structural design; exposure to MEP is an advantage.
• Confident Revit capability, with experience producing accurate models and drawings; familiarity with Autodesk Forma is beneficial.
• The ability to interpret engineering instructions, mark-ups and technical language, then progress modelling and drawing tasks with growing independence.
• A proactive and quality-focused approach, including checking your own work and asking questions when clarification is needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work closely with engineers and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Curiosity and flexibility to build capability across structural and MEP disciplines, along with the ability to meet project-specific security and eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the modelling of structural building designs working within our Built Environment team.
• Multi-disciplinary experience would be beneficial but not essential.
• Modelling and delivering building services projects in Revit, however experience of, or an interest in, programming further efficiencies in Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper or other software would be highly advantageous.
• Co-ordinating with other disciplines by federating models for the early identification and resolution of clashes.
• Facilitating virtual and mixed reality sessions for co-ordination and consultation purposes and be interested in the research and implementation of new BIM technology into project work.
• Creative problem-solving skills to continually finds ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
• Works collaboratively across functional groups.
