Job summary

St Peter’s College is seeking a Strings Coordinator for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position ahead of the 2027 school year. The role combines music teaching, strings program leadership, ensemble direction, administration, and community engagement across both Junior and Senior School.

Applicants may be qualified teachers or non-teaching professionals with relevant experience and a commitment to musical excellence, aligned with the School’s Anglican ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching/supporting classroom music at primary level.
• Ability to implement Kodaly and Orff methodologies.
• Hold South Australian Working with Children Check.
• Evidence of completed training in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care, and First Aid.

About the position:

St Peter’s College is currently seeking applications for a Strings Coordinator to join the team in preparation for the 2027 School year.

This full-time, 12-month fixed-term position provides a unique opportunity to combine music teaching, strings program leadership, ensemble direction, administration, and community engagement across both the Junior and Senior School.

This role is ideally suited to a passionate and experienced music professional. Applications are welcomed from both qualified teachers and non-teaching professionals with relevant experience and a commitment to fostering musical excellence.

• Have a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican ethos.
• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Have experience in teaching/supporting classroom music at primary level and management of a strings program.
• Have an ability to implement Kodaly and Orff methodologies.
