Job summary

Merri-bek City Council is seeking a Street Cleansing Operator to support cleaning across the municipality. Shifts may start from 3:30am to 7:30am, with regular overtime for weekend programs.

The role involves operating street sweepers, managing litter and maintaining public spaces, with a focus on delivering high service standards to the community. Qualifications

• A current Victorian Drivers Licence with Medium Rigid Endorsement.
• Experience driving trucks in built-up areas and operating a range of small plant and equipment.
• Experience providing a high standard of street cleansing and related maintenance programs.
• Working with Children Check is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning across streets, car parks, rights of way, parks and reserves.
• Removal of dumped rubbish, litter, dead animals and sharps; sweep and collect litter from centres and footpaths.
• Complete training for Street Sweeper, Footpath Sweeper, Combo Truck and pits/drains cleaning; participate in overtime when required.

Skills

Victorian Drivers Licence with MR End.
