Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Street Cleaning Operator to help maintain the cleanliness and safety of our city streets and public spaces. You will perform both manual and mechanical street sweeping, clear litter, and respond to community requests, contributing to a well-kept urban environment.

You work as part of the Street Cleaning team carrying out manual and mechanical street sweeping, clearing litter and debris, cleaning bus shelters and removing unwanted waste from public spaces. You operate and maintain mobile plant and equipment, respond to customer requests and complete daily run sheets that help track work across the city.

You work well independently, contribute to a team environment and take pride in doing the job properly. Experience in street cleaning, waste collection or a similar field is highly regarded.
