Job summary

Australian Payments Plus Limited is seeking a Sydney-based Strategy Manager to shape AP+’s strategic direction and drive enterprise initiatives across the payments ecosystem.

You’ll partner with the Strategy team and leaders across AP+ to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable recommendations, manage high-impact workstreams, and deliver measurable outcomes for Australia’s payments landscape.

Qualifications

• At least five years in strategy consulting or an internal corporate strategy role.
• Graduate-level education in business or a relevant discipline.
• Experience operating in ambiguous, high-complexity environments and structuring problems.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills from data, research or market info.
• Knowledge of strategic frameworks and enterprise or business-unit strategy.
• Experience assessing options, feasibility, costs, benefits and risks.
• Ability to translate recommendations into actionable workstreams and monitor progress.
• Experience developing measures and insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of AP+’s vision and enterprise strategy.
• Lead analysis of strategic questions and develop recommendations for senior leaders.
• Monitor payments ecosystem developments and assess risks and opportunities.
• Investigate complex situations, identify root causes, and suggest improvements.
• Lead workstreams from concept through execution with clear progress metrics.
• Assess strategic options, investments, costs, benefits and trade-offs.
• Collaborate across product, technology, operations and industry engagement teams.
• Build trusted relationships and communicate strategic advice clearly.
