Benmax is seeking a Business Analyst to shape growth-driven initiatives within the Strategy Division in Canberra. You will bridge business and technology, turning problems into clearly defined initiatives and business cases.

The role involves discovery, process mapping, and shaping opportunities, with hands-on collaboration across business, technology, and transformation projects. The position offers on-site work in Canberra and opportunities to influence automation and AI-led improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering and process mapping.
• Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation across business and technical teams.
• Ability to structure loosely defined problems.
• Understanding of business applications, data flows and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand problems and outcomes.
• Map current and future state processes and identify pain points and risks.
• Define business, functional and non-functional requirements and user journeys.
• Turn ideas into defined initiatives with clear scope and value.
• Assess options to support business cases and recommendations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and tech partners to meet needs.
• Define data flows and participate in testing/acceptance.
• Support adoption of automation, AI and emerging tech with real outcomes.
