Job summary

Department of Corrections NT is seeking a Workforce Development Officer to lead the design and delivery of workforce capability initiatives. You will align learning strategies with organisational priorities and drive continuous improvement across the department.

You will partner with senior leadership to analyse workforce needs, develop capability plans and deliver sustainable solutions that strengthen organisational performance and public service outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate organisational needs into capability initiatives.
• Experience designing, delivering and evaluating workforce development strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement workforce capability strategies aligned to priorities.
• Lead reviews, evaluations and improvement initiatives across the workforce.
• Conduct training needs analyses and create strategic capability plans.
• Identify core and technical competency requirements across the workforce.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for effectiveness and value for money.
• Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and providers.
• Provide advice on trends and workforce data to inform planning.
• Lead and support a team delivering workforce capability initiatives.
