Job summary

Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority is seeking a Workforce Capability Manager to lead workforce planning, HR metrics, learning and development, and talent succession initiatives. The role drives continuous improvement aligned with the organisation’s strategic workforce plan and oversees LMS and entry-level programs including Indigenous Apprenticeship Program.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in a similar capability-management or workforce planning role within a large organisation.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (e.g., Acorn) and managing training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on capability development and workforce development strategies.
• Conduct organisation-wide training needs assessments and develop annual training plans.
• Design and deliver training programs, including in-house and outsourced options; monitor quality and budget.
• Maintain and enhance the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage training records/reports.
• Coordinate entry-level programs and engage with stakeholders to support program delivery.
