Job summary

Sydney Water in Parramatta is seeking a Program Lead to steer a team of planners in delivering integrated long-term plans for water, wastewater and recycled water infrastructure. You’ll manage budgets, timelines and business improvements, ensuring outcomes align with priorities and regulatory requirements.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, apply scenario planning and risk-based decision making to balance customer outcomes with cost and risk, and champion a resilient, customer-focused

Qualifications

• 10+ years in water, wastewater, utility or infrastructure planning.
• Experience with pressure systems modelling preferred.
• Experience with GIS, water balance or other utility data analysis tools.
• Proven leadership delivering complex planning programs.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and senior leadership communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of integrated long-term plans for water, wastewater and recycled water infrastructure.
• Manage and coach a team of planners to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
• Develop infrastructure investment plans and business cases balancing cost and risk.
• Collaborate with technical experts and stakeholders to optimise planning solutions.
• Apply scenario planning and risk-based decision-making to support resilient service outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and build relationships across the business and external stakeholders.
