Job summary

Carpentaria is a not-for-profit organisation delivering Disability, Therapy and Community Services across Australia. The Talent & Workforce Advisor leads end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning, collaborating with managers to move vacancies from approval to appointment.

The ideal candidate will have HR qualifications, experience across multiple vacancies or locations, and the ability to manage competing priorities while engaging senior stakeholders and candidates effectively.

Qualifications

• Have qualifications in Human Resources, Recruitment, Workforce Planning, Organisational Development, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrate experience managing end-to-end recruitment across multiple vacancies, teams, or locations.
• Be highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure recruitment activities progress in a timely manner.
• Build strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders, including confidently engaging with senior leaders and specialist candidates.
• Influence and support hiring managers to make fair, timely, and evidence-based recruitment decisions.
• Analyse and report on recruitment metrics, vacancy pipelines, workforce trends, and emerging risks.
• Possess sound knowledge of merit-based recruitment, employment screening, privacy, and relevant employment and industrial frameworks.
• Be proficient in applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies, with strong attention to detail and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Carpentaria's end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning activities.
• Progress vacancies from approval through to appointment with timely communication and reporting.
• Apply sound judgement to candidate engagement and determine when direct contact is needed.
• Support onboarding, retention and capability initiatives to ensure required workforce.
• Engage with hiring managers to drive fair and evidence-based decisions.
• Analyse recruitment metrics and risks to inform strategy.
