Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Project Engagement Advisor to support the North Queensland Region's QTRIP program. You will provide strategic advice on community and stakeholder engagement, media relations, issues management and stakeholder relationship management.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagement, preparing materials, and planning events and media opportunities while building strong relationships across business areas and supporting best-practice delivery.

Qualifications

• Current holder of a Class C driver license.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Pre-employment check of serious discipline history as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic engagement advice and support to District Director and project staff on community and stakeholder engagement and risk assessment.
• Coordinate community and stakeholder engagement for QTRIP projects, including developing communication strategies.
• Research and prepare engagement materials, media responses, releases, executive correspondence and briefing documents.
• Plan and coordinate communication activities such as community events, road openings, roadshows and media opportunities.
• Build strong customer-focused relationships across business areas and support best-practice engagement delivery.
