Job summary

Osborne Richardson is recruiting an experienced engagement professional for a Queensland Government department in Townsville, providing strategic communications, stakeholder and issues management advice across a portfolio of major projects.

As Project Engagement Advisor, you'll be the single point of contact for project teams on all things engagement, giving project managers ongoing strategic advice and leading community, landholder and stakeholder liaison from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing ministerial and executive correspondence, ideally in an infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of media, government and regional operations.
• Sound knowledge of community engagement practice, and issues and reputation management.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• A curious, adaptable approach, comfortable with changing priorities and open to new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community engagement for major projects and develop and implement communications strategies.
