Job summary

Woolworths Group is hiring a Senior Solution Architect for Stores & Payments. Based in Norwest with a hybrid setup, you’ll shape the architectural roadmap across front-of-store, back-of-store and digital experiences including AI and computer vision.

You will lead complex solution design, govern standards, and act as a trusted advisor to BU Heads and Tech GMs. You’ll mentor architects, craft robust business cases, and drive investment decisions while championing innovation and cost-efficient

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience within the IT Industry/retail services or technology consulting.
• 5+ years experience across multiple Architecture domains.
• Proven track record leading architecture teams and influencing senior business leaders.
• Deep understanding of retail processes and IT systems, with a track record of designing complex, scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues, mitigate risks, and safeguard service quality and cost efficiency.
• Experience developing robust business cases and commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural roadmap across Woolworths’ banners—front-of-store, back-of-store and digital experiences like AI.
• Lead the design of robust IT solutions aligning business requirements with enterprise strategy.
• Engage with Business Unit Heads and Technology GMs to shape decisions and investments.
• Research and recommend market-leading technologies to keep Woolworths at retail innovation forefront.
• Facilitate high-quality IT estimations and technology roadmaps to guide investments.
• Coach, mentor and grow a team of Solution Architects.
